Region 2 conference will be held March 13―15, 2009 Centenary College, Hackettstown, NJ

Thanks to everyone who attended and participated in the 2008 NARHA Region 2 conference

Special welcome to all the new centers, new members, and new programs like the NARHA Horses for Heroes projects.  Therapeutic riding and equine-assisted services continue to expand.  It’s exciting to be involved.

Continuing education is an important element to our expansion and continuation of the high quality services we provide.  The 2009 Region 2 Conference will be hosted by Horseback Riding for the Handicapped of New Jersey on March 13-15, 2009 at Centenary College, Hackettstown, NJ.  The conference promises to cover a variety of topics on equine management and equine-assisted services.  Please let me know your interests for the conference and I will forward your requests to Octavia Brown, Nichola Redmond and the New Jersey committee.

Don’t forget to submit your NARHA Award nominations by May 31.  The Rider of the Year and Volunteer awards no longer require NARHA membership.

Happy Trails,
Ross Braun, Region 2 Rep
